In the section describing your background be sure to present your qualifications well: how long you've been engaged in your skill, what accomplishments you have (e.g. starting on a winning team, giving multiple recitals, taking honors classes, etc.) and what experience you may have teaching younger children. All of these will help you stand out when parents are browsing for mentors.
